Following a selection process by the local party, Hitesh Karia has been confirmed as the Conservative candidate, at the local council by-election in the Pinner South Ward, which is due to take place on Thursday October 14th.
The election is taking place following the sad passing of former Councillor Chris Mote, who had passionately served residents in Rayners Lane and across Pinner for almost 40 years, having first been elected in 1982.
Hitesh Karia is a hardworking and committed individual, who has lived in the local community for many years, and is passionate about delivering for the people of Pinner.
He now plans to use his experience to stand up for Pinner South residents, pledging to continue in the footsteps of Chris Mote in the passion and dedication shown in representing the citizens of Pinner South and putting their needs at the heart of his campaign.
Speaking following the announcement, Hitesh Karia said:
I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to stand as the Conservative candidate for Pinner South, and I’m excited to get started with my campaign. I have a plan to deliver positive change for our local community, and I am looking forward to speaking with local residents to understand their priorities for our area.
Local MP David Simmonds commented on the announcement saying:
Hitesh is a fantastic representative of the local community, and if elected I believe he will make an excellent councillor for the Pinner South residents. I have worked closely with Hitesh for many years, and know first-hand how passionately he feels about local issues.
Hitesh is someone who I can work closely with to deliver for local people, in my role as the local Member of Parliament, and I want to offer him my full endorsement to be the new Pinner South Councillor.
