The legal challenge to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ expansion, which was jointly launched by Harrow, Bexley, Bromley, Hillingdon and Surrey County Councils, has achieved another victory in the campaign to stop the expansion.
Initially the coalition of Councils challenged Sadiq Khan on 5 grounds. But the first hearing with the High Court Judge only allowed 2 of the 5 grounds for challenge.
Along with the 4 other Councils, Harrow appealed this decision. After another High Court Judge heard the appeal on 25 May, they decided to allow further grounds for challenge against the ULEZ expansion.
This is fantastic news and means that even more of Sadiq Khan’s plan to expand the ULEZ can be scrutinised and questioned.
