Elected to Council in May 2018, Cllr Chetna Halai was born and has lived in Harrow throughout her life. She went to Harrow schools and graduated with a Law degree. She believes she represents the diversity of communities and local concerns in the Kenton East ward.
She is passionate about social development and improving the well being of people and their communities. She is focused on expanding meaningful initiatives and services, to positively serve more people during her lifetime.
Chetna has valuable work experience affecting people’s lives, having held numerous roles working on reformation projects within the public and government sector.
As part of her contribution, Chetna is a Governor and part of other committees at her son’s local school – the same school she herself once attended.
Chetna is known for leading and promoting a holistic and healthy lifestyle. In March 2018, Chetna is part of a team, who together are raising money for charity for the underprivileged in Gujarat. They are doing this by completing a 392KM bike ride in India, Gujarat from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Junagadh to Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bhuj.
As well as her contribution to Harrow East Conservatives Association, Chetna is an entrepreneur and also leads and coaches people through life and personal transformation, part of which is through Yoga & Meditation
