As a proud immigrant, Cllr Kuha Kumaran became involved in politics to represent all and to promote British values of education, hard work and social integration.
Cllr Kumaran has lived in Harrow for over thirty years, and wants our borough to be the best place to live and work. Cllr Kumaran is a people person; he believes in people politics and always listens to the concerns of ordinary residents. Cllr Kumaran always greet people with a smile, even if they disagree with him on policy.
Currently, Cllr Kumaran is a Pinner Ward councillor and the deputy-portfolio holder of Systems and Customer Experiences. The Council Leader invited him to this post on account of his expertise in large scale IT systems, which he has worked with for over twenty five years. Cllr Kumaran felt honoured and privileged to accept that invitation.
He wants to work closely with the Harrow Council’s IT team to ensure our systems have the capacity, flexibility and robustness to serve the local community’s ever increasing needs.
Professionally, Cllr Kumaran is a Senior IT Consultant and has worked in both the public and private sectors. He has gained valuable experience whilst working for the NHS, the MOD, the banking sector, management consultancies, and six different local councils across the country.
In his personal life, Cllr Kumaran goes for regular walks and work outs in the gym. He enjoys gardening, cooking and doing odd jobs around the house.
